Listening to your inner voices lets you discover the side of yours that you have
never explored. I heard my inner voices at every age and stage of my life and
continued to explore them to find my inner voices filled with new and novel ideas.
Take the time to hear those voices. Perhaps a quiet mind for even five minutes a day
would let you get closer to your stillness and crativity. I use this stillness to
create something new.

Inner creativity of mine has always set me up for success. One can be creative in
simple to complex ideas.

Simple things: Social gatheting, Cooking, House work, gardening, carpentry, auto
repair, organizing at home or just about anything and everything.

Complex things: Professional work of any kind, technology, aero space, science, math
Statistics, medical science, education and much more.

By bringing creativity to my simple and complex tasks, I made it more interesting and
out of the box thinking. It was sometime unique, unusual, out of ordinary, and fun to
see it. It brought smile to people who saw it and obviously brought credibility to me.
It always brought me success in whatever I undertook like education, new career, professional work, travel, all those simple and complex tasks of day to today living and more. Why don’t you think like that and begin your journey of success?

Changing several careers initially was hard for me but, it helped me build new ideas and challenges, it enriched me with knowledge.Facing challenges is part of our lives so why not create system and tackle challenges with available resources.

Being curious about things and people brings novel ideas to our mind and if those
ideas can be worked on, it can become source of income. One great example in my life is
Art. Art was part of me as I was growing up but realized it more in my adult life and
continued with it as a hobby and became professional artist eventually.

Those hidden talents can become source of income if worked on. There are numerous examples of famous people like Bill Gates of Microsoft, Steve Jobs of Apple Computer and Craig Newmark of Craig’s list. There simple ideas were worked on with passion and diligence and became most successful.

Creativity can be monetized with passion, hidden talents, simple ideas and much more. Many of us do not have time or patience to use available free resources like internet. They not only solve the problems but ideas can be monetized and turned into business.

One of the book that really intrigued me is the book named:” Life’s Greatest Lessons”.
by Author Hal Urban. He has written a chapter on positive attitude. Now, I like to
call it creative attitude. As there is some creativity in that attitude too. He
writes about it in very succinct manner. His chapter is titled,”Attitude is a choice-
The most Important one you’ll ever make”. He continues to say that how one thinks about
events is far more important than the events themselves.He talks about Viktor Frankl, a
famous psychiatrists the world has ever known. Mr. Frankl survived the Nazi concentration camp during world war II. He calls the ability to choose our own attitude in any given circumstances. Frankl says we can become the victim of circumstances or we can can be victorious over them.We can renounce our freedom and dignity and let our circumstances mold us, or we can choose our own attitude and rise above them. The key, he says, is knowing that what we become is the effect of an inner decision.

This paragraph brings important research findings. As Hal Urban writes in his book that research conducted at Harvard University several years ago seems to bear this out. The major finding was that attitude is far more important than intelligence, education, special talent or luck. The researchers concluded that eighty-five percent of our success in life is due to attitude, while the other fifteen percent is due to ability.

I strongly believe in positive thinking and positive attitude. It not only helps us succeed and move forward, it is fundamental to being a creative person.

My book, “Creative Genius, TIPS to Unleash Yours” has a chapter on this and I
loved writing the book. It has helped many to keep the focus on what is imporatant
and creative in life.

What we can learn from failure?

He says, I divide the world into learners and nonlearners. There are people who learn, who
are open to what happens around them, who listen, who hear the lessons. When they do something stupid, they don’t do it again. And when they do something that works a little bit, they do it even better and harder the next time. The question to ask is not whether you are a success or a failure, but whether you are a learner or a non learner.

We all need to ask ourselves all the time if we want to progress, be grounded and be happy. As Hal Urban put it, Failure teaches us about strength of our character. It challenges us to dig deeper into our resources when we experience setbacks.

1. Take any work seriously at all times
2. Make time for those small tasks that need to be taken care of-small can lead to big one
3. Making a daily list which should only take five minutes would go long way
4. Discipline your time along with the task
5. Take those breaks to refresh your mind in between the tasks
6. Avoid stressful deadlines if possible
7. Be calm and proceed with your full attention
Following these steps can be sure way to get your work accomplished and not only
you will have satisfaction of completing it but it brings those hidden rewards of
success later. Have special time allocated for meetings and discussions.Also, sticking
to schedule will help you with all your work.

A good habit goes long way and and can be practiced at any age.
As Hal Urban puts it, “we are creatures of habit”.

Are there any formula or rules to follow in order to achieve some freedom financially?
Yes, there are thousands of books written and formulas to follow and it is a great idea
to get hold of them and follow it. Another way to change the way you think and be more
savvy.

1. Assess your attitude
2. Keep track of your income and expenditures on regular basis
3. Make committment to realistic budget
4. Donate some amount of your income regularly, could be as little as $5
5. Set aside funds for rainy day
6. Avoid unnecessary debts and loans
7. Recycle and reuse
8. Find creative ways to save
9. Think before making big ticket item purchases
You will be lot happier following the rules and enjoying the life.

Today, there is no reason for it to let it go in vein. You never know, it could be
your million dollar brain storming idea or thought! Technology at finger tip, you can
even record it by speaking your thought right on your phone or write it using notes.
How simple can it be?

In good old days, I used to write it on the sticky notes or any scrap paper and keep
it for later. Those ideas and thoughts came in very handy and turned them into my
creative writing, helped with my business and art and just about anything I ventured
to accomplish.

Mind is  most powerful  as well as forgetful as we process billions of thoughts everyday. None of us can remember everything and none of us can process everything. Life keeps moving on and on at a faster pace and we cannot catch up with it. Our UNIQUE thoughts are powerful and must be recorded and used for positive life achievement.

I never knew about my own creativity for many years. The new ideas popped up randomly
for me through out my life journey and I kept using them and developing them as and
when then occur.That is what I am trying to say.

When reading an article from Wall Street Journal two days ago, I said to my self,
OMG (Oh my God!) this is what exactly happened to me in my life and I benefited tremendously in work, business and relationships and just about anything I set out to do. We are not all born equal. Each of us possess a UNIQUE quality within us. Some are more naturally born creative and some are not. I realized my talent of art later in the life when I had cravings to work with colors.

People who are looking for new and novel ideas for your work, business or personal life, here’s what you follow. You can definitely set yourself with some inspired work.

1. Take a break from routine and do something mundane
2. Try to change the scenery every now and then
3. Go away for a vacation or take a quick break from routine for a week end
4. Learn to relax and the ideas will pop up in your brain without even trying
5. Take a walk along the path you have never been
6. Get hold of interesting book in the library you know nothing about
7. Day dreaming to an extent can help too
8. Be a curious George!
9. Walk away from a problem and sit somewhere quietly for a few minutes
10. Go travel to interesting places
11. Indulge in some art of your choice
12. Get involved in simple and boring task every now and then
13. Help your spouse or kids in simple tasks
14. Watch a funny movie and your mind will relax substantially
15. An exercise of any kind will surely spark your creativity

We have potential for great things and we should make it happen by constant efforts
of our own. Since growth is forward movement, it can stop and start at any time. Some
days are more fruitful than others.When one is in dormant stage for the day, just hang
in there and rest up as you will need the strength to get up and get going.

I absolutely believe in this expression,”God helps those who help themselves”. It has been
true in my life and I have witnessed many more. We have to earn this help from the super being. To our amazement, there are messages and small miracles that we all experience from time to time. ”We just need to be alert for support and encouragement from unexpected quarters” as Julia Cameron, the famous author put it.

Experimenting and trying new and novel ideas and things need to be part of our ever growing creative endeavor . Julia Cameron talks about experimenting with solitude and quiet time daily. I have always followed this and it has helped me tremendously to reflect upon the day or week and contemplating to grow further.

Mind is terrible thing to waste, another saying that I grew up with. Let us not waste any of our potential and creative thinking and make progress in our life at all times.

We all have to believe in our own village and build it one ourselves with sharing and helping
others build it too. The more people are attracted to you, you will surely make solid
connections with them.
